Again I would like to hear some of the students views.
What did you learn?
What did you enjoy?
What do you need to work on?
Please train your forms at home as we didn't have much time for them tonight.
See everyone on Sunday.
Have a great week.
From Scott Field: The elbows and takedowns i learnt, i really enjoyed that, also i am
learning the simultaneous block & punch variations and i believe i can do
them turning and with sidesteps. I need to improve on my punching itself as you
pointed out i punch badly, must of been a bad habit i picked up in the gym. Again another fantastic class i feel ready for grading.
From Leo Brooke: I learnt how be more fluid and relaxed keeping full control during
push hands and also learnt some new applications. Really enjoyed some full on
practise with my technique during push hands and a couple of good takedowns. I
think I must improve on not using to much force and smoothen my applications of
certain techniques during chi sau.
Joel Holding wrote: I learnt how to apply more of the 1st form movements into sticky
hands, also learnt better application of the elbow set, such as breaking through
blocks to open up opponent. I enjoyed learning the locks and flowing between
them (hand,
upwards arm bar, downwards arm bar etc.). I need to work on my technique in
things like sticky hands, as I find myself using force a lot, and straight out
forgetting the techniques!
